Some spirits don't haunt in shadow — they haunt in shimmer. Sapphire Wraith is one of them: a skull cast in a glittering, sparkle-flecked blue finish, catching light like something caught between worlds. From its hollow crown spills the rare and coveted Epipremnum pinnatum 'Albo,' its glossy leaves splashed with streaks of pure white against deep green — a plant collectors search years for and rarely find twice.

This is not a casual houseplant, and it doesn't apologize for the effort it demands. Give it bright, indirect light — even a touch of gentle direct sun — to keep the variegation stable; too little light, and the white sections will begin to revert to green as the plant tries to survive on what chlorophyll it can spare. Water when the top inch or two of soil has dried, and never let it sit wet — root rot is the one thing that can undo this plant fast. It craves humidity, and a spot near a humidifier or in a bright bathroom will reward you with larger, more dramatically split leaves as it matures and begins to climb. Give it a moss pole or trellis to grow into, and patience — the payoff is the deeply fenestrated, dragon-tail foliage this variety is famous for. Propagation is possible from stem cuttings that include a node and some white variegation, though these cuttings can be slower and choosier about rooting than their solid-green cousins — a small trial for anyone who wants to summon a second wraith.

The skull itself is finished in a shimmering sapphire-blue with a fine metallic sparkle worked into every crease of the sculpt, so it glints differently depending on where the light catches it. A drainage hole keeps its rare tenant safe from anything that might be lurking below.

Ethereal, elusive, and impossible to look away from — Sapphire Wraith is a haunting worth chasing.
