Welcome to EdgyRoot.com ("we," "us," "our," or "Edgy Root"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your purchase of products from us, whether through EdgyRoot.com, TikTok Shop, Facebook, or in person at farmers markets and events.

By placing an order or using our Site, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Our Products

Edgy Root sells hand-finished gothic-themed planters paired with live plants, as well as planters sold on their own. Each planter is individually hand-painted and finished, so slight variations in color, texture, and finish between pieces are normal and part of the handmade character of the product — not a defect.

Live plants are natural products and will vary in size, shape, and appearance from the photos shown. Minor imperfections in foliage are normal.

2. Orders and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.
Payment is due in full at the time of purchase.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inventory issues. If we cancel an order after payment, you will receive a full refund.
Sales tax is collected where applicable based on your location and Idaho state requirements.

3. Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship within the United States, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
Shippable items are limited to succulents, air plants, and planters sold without a live plant. Tropical and higher-maintenance houseplants are available for local pickup or farmers market purchase only, due to their sensitivity to temperature changes and transit stress.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
We are not responsible for delays, damage, or loss caused by the shipping carrier once a package has been dropped off for delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can help resolve the issue.
Local pickup and farmers market order details (time, date, and location) will be communicated directly to you after purchase.

4. Returns and Refunds

Because many of our products are handmade and/or perishable (live plants), we handle returns as follows:

Planters (no plant): If your planter arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We'll offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.
Live plants: Due to the nature of living products, we cannot accept returns on plants once they've left our hands. If a plant arrives visibly damaged or in poor health due to shipping, reach out within 48 hours with photos and we'll work with you on a resolution.
Change of mind: We do not offer refunds for buyer's remorse on custom or made-to-order pieces. Contact us and we'll do our best to work something out.
Refunds, when approved, will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

5. Plant Care Disclaimer

We provide general plant care guidance with each live plant sold, but plant health after purchase depends on factors outside our control — including light, humidity, watering habits, and environment in your home. We are not responsible for plant health issues that arise after the plant has been delivered or picked up in good condition.

6. Intellectual Property

All product designs, photography, descriptions, and content on this Site are the property of Edgy Root and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission. Our planter designs are original works — any resemblance to copyrighted characters or media is unintentional and not endorsed by or affiliated with any third-party franchise.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edgy Root is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Site or products, including but not limited to plant allergies, pet or child safety around small decorative items, or misuse of products.

Our planters contain small parts and are not intended as toys. Keep away from small children and pets who may chew on or ingest plant material or decorative pieces.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your purchase will be resolved in the applicable courts of Idaho.
