Some things absorb light rather than reflect it. Void Bearer is one of them: a warm copper skull, its metallic finish catching every glint of ambient light, crowned by something that swallows it whole — a ZZ Plant 'Raven', its glossy, near-black leaves emerging green before deepening to a dark, obsidian sheen unlike anything else on a windowsill.

The Raven ZZ is a study in contrast, and it's built to survive almost anything. It thrives in low to bright indirect light — direct sun can scorch its dramatic dark leaves, so give it a spot out of harsh rays and let the shadows do the work. Water sparingly; this plant stores moisture in its thick rhizomes and would much rather be forgotten for a few weeks than drowned by good intentions. Let the soil dry out completely between waterings, and resist the urge to fuss over it. It's entirely unbothered by low humidity and thrives in the kind of neglect that kills lesser plants. New growth emerges a vivid, almost startling green before darkening over several weeks into that signature black — a slow transformation worth watching. Propagation is simple but patient work: a single leaf or stem cutting placed in soil or water will eventually root and form a new rhizome, though it can take months to show real progress. Void Bearer isn't a plant that rewards impatience — it rewards trust.

The skull itself is finished in a rich, hand-applied copper, warm and weathered, standing in quiet contrast to the void-black foliage it carries. A drainage hole keeps the roots safe from anything gathering beneath.

Equal parts warmth and shadow, Void Bearer proves that even darkness needs somewhere to take root.
